As part of the Love Charing Cross Road Festival, acclaimed singer songwriter, Yo Zushi will be playing a short acoustic set in the shop from 4pm and launching his zine, “Viva Quinto”. He will be joined by south London legend, Jazzman John Clarke who will be performing his jazz poetry.

We’ve re-stocked for June!

We’ve just re-stocked the basement and we have loads of fiction this month. We have lots of modern fiction, a good poetry section, crime fiction, westerns, horror, fantasy, sci-fi and a good selection of children’s books including Ladybird editions, lots by Enid Blyton and Alison Uttely and much more. We also have loads of cookery books, theology, natural history including ornithology books and history, travel, social sciences and a small art section.

We’re boxing up much of our basement stock this weekend to make space for thousands of new acquisitions! The new stuff will be available from Tuesday (June 4th) at 2pm. We’re expecting lots of literature this time.

Cookery month at Quinto!

We’ve just completely re-stocked the basement and we have loads of books on food and cookery. Some are quite old (early 20th century) and others are more recent. It’s an extensive collection covering cuisines from many different countries and there are some great covers to be found. But it’s not just cookery here, we’ve also got loads of railway and theology books this month and lots of other subjects too!

We’re boxing up all of our current basement stock this Saturday and will re-open with an all new selection this coming Tuesday (the 7th) at 2pm. We’re expecting a huge a collection of old cookery books this month.

It was going to take place on the Easter bank holiday but we’ve put it back a week – all of the current books will be boxed up on Saturday April the 6th and we will re-open with completely refreshed basement stock on Tuesday April the 9th at 2pm.

We’ve just re-opened our basement with an all new selection for March. We have lots of literature and lovely old children’s books, quite a few books on carpets and rugs and various other subjects.
We’re having a big delivery of travel and history related books this Thursday (7 March).

Many boxes of books have been shelved since our last changeover opening at the beginning of February.

We’ll be boxing everything up on Saturday March the 2nd and re-opening with new stock on Tuesday, March the 5th at 2pm.

The basement will be closed on the 3rd and 4th of February for re-stocking. It will re-open at 2pm on Tuesday the 5th of Feb with thousands of fresh titles. We’re expecting lots of crime fiction, occult and mysticism, cookery, gardening and natural history. We’re keeping January’s large theology sections and classical studies books for another month.

Our basement re-opens at 2pm tomorrow (January the 8th).

We have loads of books on Christian theology. Also lots of Greek and Latin literature and ancient history, lots on Native Americans and the American Civil War, foreign language literature, linguistics, poetry, Shakespeare, natural history (especially ornithology) as well as all the usual subjects.
